The Art Association organizes many exhibitions.
There are solo exhibitions and group exhibitions.
There are also other events
where people can talk about art and society.

how art and politics are connected.

The story of the building

In 1903, the city of Schwerin wanted to build a new power station.
That is a building where electricity is made.

Later, other people used the building:
For example, the State Theatre and the Puppet Theatre of Schwerin.

After the Art Association was founded in 2002,
exhibitions took place in many different places.
Such as old shops or the cathedral.

Then the Art Association got its own building.
The old power station at the Pfaffenteich was rebuilt.

The building is a protected historic monument.
It was carefully restored.

In the old workshop halls,
there are now 250 square meters of exhibition space.
As well as offices and storage rooms.
